In the summer of 2007, in a balmy basement jam pad, a drummer and a harmonica player initiated an impromptu jam with three other musicians. A couple of hours later, the Barracuda Blues Band was born. The band comprises five seasoned musicians united by a common vision - to give the city's music lovers something they haven't heard for far too long… the sound of the blues. But it's not just good ol' blues. It's blues with a bite. It's blues peppered with rock, funk and a pinch of jazz. The band's repertoire stretches from classic Muddy Waters and Willie Dixon to Doobie Brothers, Herbie Hancock, Grateful Dead, Paul Butterfield, Blues Brothers and several others. The Barracuda Blues Band has been thrilling fans of blues and blues-rock in Bangalore since its inception in mid 2007 and has performed several times in the city.
