Sara Denka, Staff Scientist at Coastal Risk Consulting, specializes in geospatial modeling of coastal impacts related to sea level rise. Ms. Denka has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami. She recently acted as Project Manager for The City of Santa Barbara Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment, using GIS to predict the effects of coastal hazards related to sea level rise in Santa Barbara, CA. Ms. Denka applies her knowledge of marine processes to better understand the impacts of development and climate change at the land-sea interface.
